Flight Management System (FMS)
- A key component to flight route and trajectory optimization is the Flight Management System. Honeywell's FMS uses advanced technology to improve flight efficiency, reduce fuel burn and reduce pilot workload by automatically calculating the best route and altitude based on weight and by utilizing Required Navigation Performance (RNP) standards. Honeywell’s FMS can be upgraded to meet future global air traffic modernization efforts through simple software upgrades, another key benefit which reduces maintenance costs and aircraft downtime.
IntuVue™ 3-D Advanced Weather Radar
- IntuVue's advanced 3-D display of weather hazards has demonstrated a 26% improvement in weather avoidance decision making, enabling pilots to reroute around weather for greater safety, better fuel efficiency and more on-time arrivals than with conventional radar systems. It has demonstrated over a 50% increase in turbulence detection and reduces maintenance and operational cost for airlines through reduced weight and increased reliability.
Interactive Navigation (INAV™)
- INAV reduces pilot workload and provides comprehensive situational awareness like never before. INAV is the first integrated display of traffic, terrain, airspace, airways, airports and navigation aids on one display. When used with Honeywell’s IPFD, the combination gives the pilot a complete strategic and tactical flight planning system that allows accurate, easy decision making for maximum safety and operational efficiency.
Integrated Primary Flight Display (IPFD™)
- IPFD increases pilot situational awareness and strategic flight planning by providing a continuous window of situational awareness of their flight path, terrain, and navigational environment using common HUD symbology. Honeywell’s IPFD is an award winning synthetic vision system that increases safety and always provides a 'clear day.'
Runway Awareness and Advisory System (RAAS)
- RAAS addresses the global problem of runway incursions. Using the aircraft's position and an internal runway database, RAAS provides timely advisories during taxi, departure and landing that can help break the chain of events that can lead to a runway incursion.
Traffic Surveillance System (CAS-100)
- CAS-100 Traffic Collision and Avoidance Systems provide advanced airspace situational awareness using the latest in processing technology and ADS-B functionality. As new technologies emerge and air traffic modernization becomes defined, Honeywell’s CAS-100 system will be able to meet these new requirements and additional ADS-B functionality through simple software upgrades to the processer. These new requirements and features increase flight safety and Honeywell’s flexible upgrade path reduces maintenance and operating costs for users.
